Brock got his start as a "hands-on" partner in service with URBAN ANGELS SF. Our Goal is to sustain the unhoused of San Francisco/East Bay/Vallejo areas while they are in transition from living on the streets to safe permanent housing.
Many people living on the street have dog and cat companions they love and cherish. These precious animals need food, treats and medical attention as well. I deliver these items and help make connections to Vets and Medical care. Mostly, I give them lots of love and hugs and they give me appreciative kisses. It's a great joy to serve them.
Brock Ford Life Ministry and Urban Angels SF is an all-volunteer, not for profit organization that strives to bring a sense of humanity and personal connection to individuals struggling with homelessness. Everyday we actively support and assist unhoused persons in their transition to safe, healthy and sustainable living conditions.
Our volunteers treat our fellow human beings with dignity; we shake hands, address people respectfully and strive to make personal connections. We provide food, clothing, water, masks and sanitizing products to alleviate the daily struggles of street life. We assist them, one-on-one when possible, to access social services with the ultimate goal of transitioning off the streets.
By addressing them individually, with compassion and respect, we dramatically increase their odds beyond mere survival, but of achieving lasting success: housing, food, healthcare, counseling and personal empowerment.

This sweet angel is Kodi Ranger Ford. He's been my boy for 13 years. He truly was an "unhoused" doggie at 5 weeks of age. I was on a visit back home to Nashville and the last night there, after dinner with my family at a restaurant, my sister Beth, found a box in the parking lot near my car with some puppies in it that a lady said she was trying to give to a good home because her friends, whom they belonged to, was going to take them out in the woods and release them. So, my sister picked up a cute little black male and handed him to me stating that I needed to take him back to California with me and that I would need him one day. I resisted but ultimately said yes and drove across the country with Kodi and have been blessed by him every day. And, yes, Beth was right...after her death and my mother's death a few years later, I went into a deep depression and Kodi was right by my side and gave me such comfort, love and lots of kisses. Grateful for that box in the parking lot that evening in Nashville.
